The Triennial Meeting of the Akhil Bharatiya Swasthya Evam Rashtriya Swasthya Mission Karmachari Mahasangh, affiliated with the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, was held on February 15 and 16 in Patna. The event witnessed the participation of representatives from various units across the country.
During a recent visit to the islands, National General Secretary Mr. Ravindra Himte and National Sah Sangathan Mantri Mr. Ganesh Mishra enlisted the Andaman Nicobar Islands NHM & NAM Karmachari Sangh (ANINHM&NAM KS) as part of the Mahasangh. Following the nomination, Ms. Neelima, Secretary of ANINHM&NAM KS, and Mr. Sujoy Dey represented the union at the Adhiveshan (conference).
At the conclusion of the meeting, a new committee was constituted for the next three years. Mr. Sujoy Dey was inducted as a National Executive Member of the Akhil Bharatiya Swasthya Evam Rashtriya Swasthya Mission Karmachari Mahasangh, marking a significant milestone for the union’s representation at the national level.
Expressing their support, Mr. Jaydeep Kumar Dey, President of ANRKM, and committee members extended their best wishes to Mr. Sujoy Dey. They emphasised that his inclusion in the national body would enhance the representation of National Health Mission (NHM) and National Ayush Mission (NAM) workers, ensuring that their concerns are raised and addressed at a broader platform.
This development is seen as a step forward in strengthening the voice of healthcare workers from the Andaman & Nicobar Islands at the national stage.
