To commemorate World Bicycle Day, the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, will organize a special edition of the popular ‘Sundays on Cycle’ event on June 1, 2025, under the Fit India Mission.
The initiative aims to promote a healthy and active lifestyle through cycling, and the event is open to the general public, schools, government departments, professionals, and community organizations.
Participants have been requested to gather at the Netaji Stadium Main Gate with their own bicycles by 5:30 AM sharp. The cycling route will cover the stretch from Netaji Stadium Main Gate to Flag Point and back.
The event seeks to encourage greater community participation in fitness activities and raise awareness about the benefits of cycling as a sustainable mode of transport and exercise.
