The initiative, a joint effort by Gleneagles Health City, Chennai, and Port Blair Guru Ki Rasoi, was conducted under the guidance of the Health Department of the Andaman & Nicobar Administration.
The camp’s inauguration was attended by Mr. Arjun Sharma, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of South Andaman, as the Chief Guest. Distinguished attendees included Mr. Vikram Singh, DANICS, Director of Education; Dr. Suja Antony, Director of the Directorate of Health Services and ANIIMS; Dr. Vivek Lal, Chief Operating Officer, Gleneagles Health City; and Mr. Mandeep Grewal, Founder and President of Port Blair Guru Ki Rasoi.
Specialist medical services were offered in three key areas:

- Nephrology: Dr. V. Balaraman, HOD & Senior Consultant in Nephrology, attended to 35 cases.
– Oncology: Dr. Narayanan R, Consultant in Medical Oncology, provided consultations to 50 patients.

Encouraged by the success of this initiative, Gleneagles Health City, in collaboration with G.B. Pant Hospital, plans to conduct monthly specialist camps in the coming months. This effort reinforces the commitment to providing islanders with reliable access to expert healthcare services locally, without the need for extensive travel.
