Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council (SVPMC) carried out an extensive road inspection in Wards 15, 17, and 24 on Monday, led by Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, Mr. Arjun Sharma, IAS, along with SVPMC Secretary Mr. Azharuddin Zahiruddin Quazi, IAS, and senior council officials.
The inspection, conducted in the presence of the respective Ward Councillors, aimed to assess the condition of existing roads, ongoing repair works, and identify priority areas for future development. The team focused on road maintenance, drainage issues, and overall public convenience to enhance civic infrastructure for residents.
During the visit, Deputy Commissioner Sharma stressed the importance of timely execution of repair and improvement works to ensure public safety and facilitate smooth commuting. SVPMC Secretary Quazi instructed the Engineering Staff to prepare proposals for the early resolution of identified issues and to prioritize maintenance works.
Ward Councillors appreciated the administration’s proactive approach and assured full cooperation in addressing public grievances at the Ward level.
The SVPMC reaffirmed its commitment to upgrading urban infrastructure and delivering efficient civic services across all Wards.
