The Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan was inaugurated on 17th September 2025, at the Community Health Centre (CHC), Nancowry, in line with the national launch by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The staff of CHC Nancowry also joined the Prime Minister’s address virtually.
The campaign was inaugurated by Ms. Aysha Majid, Chairperson, Tribal Council, and was graced by Dr. Nirmal Kumar Bajpai, Medical Officer In-charge, CHC Nancowry. A total of 102 people participated in the launch event, which focused on improving women’s health, nutrition, and family welfare through preventive, promotive, and curative services.
As part of the campaign, a range of activities were conducted at CHC Nancowry, including NCD screening (for hypertension and diabetes), anaemia screening, TB screening (70 people screened with one Nikshay ID created), immunization of children, dental and homeopathy sessions, local food display, ABHA and Ayushman card creation, distribution of iron and folic acid tablets, and nutritional counselling.
The campaign aims to promote early detection of diseases, spread awareness on women’s health, and provide access to essential health services and government welfare schemes. Special emphasis was placed on women and adolescent girls, in line with the theme “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar” — Healthy Women, Empowered Families.
The day’s events not only brought together multiple health services under one roof but also reflected the campaign’s vision of building healthier communities through awareness, empowerment, and active participation.
