Assistant Commissioner, Campbell Bay in association with Medical Officers of PHC, Campbell Bay organised a Tele-Consultation Session titled ‘Swasthya-Plus’ for patients of Great Nicobar. The programme was inaugurated by Mr. E S Rajesh, Pramukh, Panchayat Samiti, Campbell Bay. Dr. Ashok Choudhury, Head of the Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Liver Transplant at Narayana Hospital, Gurugram was the consultant doctor for the tele-consultation service.
Around 30 patients benefitted from the first session of Swasthya-Plus.
Dr. Ashok Choudhury provided the patients with prescriptions after listening to their complaints. The patients with the issues of Gastritis/Irritable Bowel Syndrome/Fatty liver/Cholecystitis/GERD got an opportunity to interact with a Specialist Doctor.
Dr. Nitin Shakya, Assistant Commissioner/SDM, Campbell Bay briefed the gathering regarding the benefits of the session and informed that similar Telemedicine Consultations shall be organised on weekly basis at Great Nicobar.
