In a commendable display of vigilance and bravery, a team of law enforcement officers swiftly responded to information about foreign poachers near Jal Tikrey, Hathi level of Diglipur. The dedicated team, led by SI Abdul Shakil and comprising HC/ Ashok Samaddar and PCs Suresh Kumar, K.K Deb, Sudhir Toppo, Tulsi Rao, and Prince Chander Das, conducted an anti-poaching operation to apprehend the culprits.
Reacting promptly to the received intelligence, the tireless police team conducted an extensive search in the area surrounding Jal Tikrey and Hathi level. During their diligent efforts, the team noticed the movement of the poachers and immediately sprang into action, attempting to halt their escape. Undeterred, the poachers tried to flee into the dense jungle.
Undeterred by the challenging terrain and inclement weather, the courageous police team pursued the suspects relentlessly and successfully apprehended three Myanmarese poachers.
The arrested poachers were then brought to PS Diglipur and subsequently handed over to PS CCS (Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems) for further investigation into their illegal activities.
The entire anti-poaching operation was conducted under the direct supervision of Ms. Geetanjali Khandelwal, IPS, SP (D) N&MA, whose unwavering leadership ensured the success of the mission.
Praising the remarkable bravery and dedication exhibited by the anti-poaching team, authorities have announced that they will be suitably rewarded for their exemplary efforts.
In light of this incident, the general public and fishermen who venture out to sea have been urged to be vigilant and report any credible information about the sighting of foreign boats or nationals to their nearest police station or contact phone numbers 100, 112, and 03192-273344. The identities of informants will be kept confidential, and they will be rewarded for their courageous actions.
The successful operation serves as a testament to the commitment of law enforcement personnel in preserving the ecological sanctity of the region and safeguarding its natural resources from illegal activities.
