On the occasion of Teachers’ Day 2025, a series of sports events will be organized exclusively for teachers and staff. The events include Badminton Doubles, Table Tennis Doubles, Athletics, Tug of War and Chess, and will be held at the Multipurpose Hall, Netaji Stadium and Andaman Club.
The competitions will begin on 3rd September 2025 with the Badminton Doubles (Men) and Table Tennis Doubles (Women) matches scheduled at 8:30 am at the Multipurpose Hall, Netaji Stadium. On 4th September, the Badminton Doubles (Women) and Table Tennis Doubles (Men) will be conducted at the same venue and time.
Athletic events will also be held on 4th September at the Netaji Stadium. The 100-metre sprint for men and women above 50 years of age is scheduled at 3:30 pm, followed by the 100-metre sprint for participants below 50 years at 3:45 pm. The Tug of War competition for both men and women will be held at 4:00 pm on the same day.
The Chess Tournament will take place on 4th September at 8:30 am at Andaman Club. Interested teachers have been requested to send their entries for Chess on or before 3rd September 2025 by 5 pm to Mr. B. Neelaiah, PST, DE’s Office, who can be contacted at 9342933798.
Teachers and staff of Sri Vijaya Puram schools have been advised to reach the venue well before the scheduled time as fixtures will be prepared on the spot. The Teachers’ Day sports celebrations aim to encourage camaraderie, fitness and active participation among the teaching community while honouring their dedication and service.
