PARAKH, NCERT, New Delhi, in collaboration with the State Institute of Education (SIE), A&N Islands, has launched a three-day workshop at Shiksha Sadan, running from September 10 to 12. The program focuses on the implementation of the Holistic Progress Card (HPC) and the dissemination of PARAKH Rashtriya Sarvekshan 2024-2025 results across all educational zones, as part of NCERT’s national PARAKH initiative.

The workshop was inaugurated by Ms. Sangeeta Chand, Principal of SIE, who highlighted the vision and objectives of the PARAKH initiative. In her keynote address via video conferencing, Prof. Indrani Bhaduri, CEO and Head of PARAKH under NCERT, emphasized the initiative’s pivotal role in aligning India’s education system with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. She outlined PARAKH’s core functions, including setting national standards for student assessments, ensuring equivalence across school boards, and promoting assessment methods beyond rote memorisation.

Sessions are being conducted by Ms. Madurima Pal and Ms. Charul Yadav, NCERT faculty members with expertise in educational assessment and progress card design. PARAKH master trainers from SIE are also providing hands-on training to participants. A total of 100 teachers from all educational zones are attending the workshop in a hybrid mode, with 50 participating offline and 50 joining online.

The initiative aims to strengthen teacher capacity and institutional readiness for NEP-aligned assessment reforms.
