The Pahargaon Police have successfully recovered three stolen LPG cylinders, demonstrating swift and decisive action in a theft case reported from Austinabad. The theft, which occurred on September 22, 2024, was brought to the attention of the police by the victim, Mr. Abdul Shabir, leading to the quick mobilisation of resources and personnel to resolve the case.
The investigation, initiated by the Pahargaon Police Station, was led by Head Constable Simhachalam under the supervision of Inspector Mohd Elias, Station House Officer (SHO) of PS Pahargaon. A dedicated team, including Head Constable Ravi Kumar Limbu and Police Constables L. Horo and D. Shiv Kumar, was formed to expedite the investigation.
Their first step was to thoroughly analyze CCTV footage from the vicinity of the crime scene. The footage revealed an unidentified individual stealing the LPG cylinders and escaping the scene on a scooty. Through diligent efforts, the police traced the scooty to Ghanashyam Mondal, a 20-year-old private labourer residing in Garacharma near TTI College.
