Tourism Department to Conduct 12-Day Tourist Guide Training Program

The Tourism Department, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM), Bhubaneswar, is set to conduct a 12-day Tourist Guide Training Program for tourism stakeholders and unemployed youth. The training will be held at Sri Vijaya Puram and is tentatively scheduled to commence on March 12, 2025.

Eligible candidates must have completed their 12th standard to apply. The program has a total of 100 seats, with selections based on a 50% weightage for academic merit and 50% for experience in the travel trade. No travel allowance, daily allowance, or accommodation will be provided for participants attending the training.

The seat distribution for the program is as follows:

Diglipur: 5 candidates (2 female, 3 male)

Mayabunder: 5 candidates (2 female, 3 male)

Rangat: 5 candidates (2 female, 3 male)

Baratang: 8 candidates (3 female, 5 male)

–  Sri Vijaya Puram: 20 candidates (7 female, 13 male)

Ferrargunj: 10 candidates (3 female, 7 male)

Shaheed Dweep: 15 candidates (5 female, 10 male)

Swaraj Dweep: 15 candidates (5 female, 10 male)

Little Andaman: 7 candidates (2 female, 5 male)

Nicobar: 5 candidates (2 female, 3 male)

Campbell Bay: 5 candidates (2 female, 3 male)

Total: 100 candidates (35 female, 65 male)

Interested candidates can download the application form, along with terms and conditions, from the official website of the Andaman Tourism Department at https://andamantourism.gov.in/Ann_all.php. The completed application must be submitted to the Planning Section, Directorate of Information, Publicity & Tourism (IP&T), on or before March 7, 2025, by 3:00 PM.
