In a move aimed at fostering practical learning and enhancing technical expertise, Toyota Kirloskar Motors (TKM) has inked a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Dr B R Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT). The primary goal of this collaboration is to bolster hands-on training and elevate the technical skill set of students enrolled at DBRAIT.

This collaboration is an extension of TKM’s nationwide initiative, the Toyota Technical Education Program (T-TEP), conducted in association with technical institutes across the country. Under the MoA, TKM commits to delivering the T-TEP curriculum to final-year students pursuing a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, as well as to participants enrolled in DBRAIT’s one-year skill development program.

The comprehensive training program is designed not only to augment technical competencies but also to provide invaluable practical experience, ensuring that students are well-prepared to transition seamlessly into the industry upon program completion. Moreover, as part of this agreement, students will have the opportunity for On Job Training (OJT) at Toyota Dealer Workshops, thereby offering a direct pathway to employment based on their demonstrated proficiency.

To incentivize and support meritorious trainees, TKM has pledged to offer scholarships amounting to up to Rs. 50,000 per annum during the training period.

This strategic alliance between TKM and DBRAIT is poised to significantly enrich the educational landscape by equipping students with industry-aligned skills, fostering their professional growth, and aligning them with rewarding career opportunities.

The signing of the MoA marks a pivotal moment in the realm of technical education, reinforcing the commitment of both institutions towards empowering the future workforce with cutting-edge knowledge and practical expertise.
