The District Magistrate of South Andaman has ordered a temporary traffic diversion at Jodakilan on National Highway-04 due to urgent rectification and strengthening work required on the wearing coat of the newly constructed Minor Bridge at the location.
Invoking powers under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, and in accordance with the Administration’s notification dated March 10, 2008, the authorities have decided to divert all vehicular traffic over the old existing Jodakilan Minor Bridge at Km 21.717 on NH-04 starting from July 20, 2025.
This arrangement will remain in effect until the completion of the necessary repair and construction work.
All concerned departments, enforcement agencies, and transport operators have been directed to ensure strict adherence to the diversion order in the interest of public safety. (Story Based on PR)
