The District Magistrate, South Andaman, has announced temporary traffic regulations in connection with the scheduled VVIP visit to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands on December 11 and 12.
According to an official notification issued in continuation of earlier Order No. 9-170/LS/2023/PF/5735 dated December 11, 2025, certain routes in South Andaman will experience regulated movement on December 12 between 9:30 AM and 8:00 PM to ensure smooth traffic flow and avoid inconvenience to the public.
Routes Under Temporary Traffic Regulation (Dec 12, 9:30 AM–8:00 PM): VIP Road, Netaji Stadium, Marina Park Road, Police Lines, Airport Road, Dollygunj, Bathubasti Road and Chidiyatapu Road.
Emergency vehicles travelling from Garacharma towards Aberdeen Bazaar have been advised to use the Attampahad–Dollygunj route. Authorities have assured that emergency vehicles on other routes will also be facilitated through restricted corridors whenever required.
The administration has clarified that no road will be closed or blocked at any time, and regular traffic movement will continue. The measures are purely temporary and aimed at maintaining orderly traffic conditions.
