TRAI to Hold Consumer Outreach Programme at MGGC Mayabunder on February 25

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Regional Office, Kolkata, will organise a Consumer Outreach Programme at Mahatma Gandhi Government College (MGGC), Mayabunder, on February 25, 2026 (Wednesday) from 10.30 AM onwards.

The programme aims to create awareness among telecom and broadcasting consumers about various initiatives undertaken by TRAI to safeguard consumer interests, with special emphasis on Quality of Service standards.

Senior officers from TRAI, representatives of telecom service providers, government officials, consumer organisations, students, and members of the general public are expected to participate in the event. The outreach programme is intended to serve as a platform for direct interaction between consumers, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to deliberate on issues related to telecom and broadcasting services in the islands.

According to the communication issued by the Office of the Principal, Mahatma Gandhi Government College, Mayabunder, the programme is of significant public importance as it provides an opportunity for consumers to raise concerns and gain clarity on regulatory frameworks governing telecom and broadcasting services.

The initiative is expected to enhance awareness and promote informed consumer participation across the North and Middle Andaman region.
