To control and inhibit the use of tobacco in school-going children, Govt. of India has launched Tobacco Control Programme and released guidelines for Tobacco Free Educational Institutions (ToFEI). As a part of the ongoing nationwide training, the NTCP under UTHM -Phase-2 organised Training of Trainers for 56 Teachers under BRC Wimberlygunj from 27th December 2022 to 9th January 2023, in the School Campus of various CRC under BRC Wimberlygunj.
The programme concluded in the presence of (I/c) Teacher, GSSS Manarghat. Mr. G. Ashis Kumar who was the resource person for the training briefed the trainers about ToFEI Guidelines and its importance. The ToT for other CRCs of A & N Islands will be conducted in a phased manner. The programme was organised under the supervision of Dr. Satyajit Halder, State Nodal Officer, National Tobacco Control Programme.
