Training on Bharat Pashudhan App Conducted for Veterinary Compounders in A&N Islands

The Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services (AH&VS) recently organized a training programme on the Bharat Pashudhan App for Veterinary Compounders at the Conference Hall of the Veterinary Hospital, Junglighat. The initiative was aimed at strengthening livestock data management and improving service delivery across the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

A total of 33 Veterinary Compounders participated in the session, with 18 attending in person and 15 joining online. The training was conducted by resource persons from the National Digital Livestock Mission (NDLM) — Mr. Rejith R., Assistant General Manager, and Ms. Bhawna, Assistant Manager.

The session familiarized participants with the features of the Bharat Pashudhan App, focusing on efficient livestock data recording, treatment tracking, and service coordination. Officials highlighted that the use of the app will enable field-level staff to streamline livestock health monitoring and ensure better delivery of animal husbandry services.

The training underlined the AH&VS Department’s commitment to modernizing livestock management practices and supporting farmers by enhancing productivity and service efficiency.
