Training Programme on Poultry and Dairy Farming from Jan 20; Financial Assistance for Trainees to be Provided Under PMEGP Post Training

The Andaman and Nicobar Islands Khadi and Village Industries Board (A&NI KVIB), in collaboration with the Directorate of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Sciences, is set to roll out a one-month Skill Development Training Programme in Poultry and Dairy Farming. The training is scheduled to begin on January 20, 2025, at veterinary hospitals in Dollygunj, Port Mout, Hutbay, and Diglipur.

Candidates who have already submitted their applications to the A&NI KVIB and the Department of Industries are advised to report to their nearest training centre on January 20 at 9:30 AM.

For those who are yet to apply but wish to participate, applications are still being accepted. Interested candidates can visit the A&NI KVIB Office at Udyog Parisar Complex, Middle Point, Sri Vijaya Puram, or the nearest Extension Office of the Industries Department. The deadline for submission is January 17, 2025. Applicants are required to bring copies of their Aadhaar Card and educational qualification certificates.

The initiative aims to equip individuals with practical knowledge in poultry and dairy farming, thereby fostering rural development and enhancing livelihoods across the islands. Additionally, financial support will be available under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP).
