Dr. S.R. DIET, Garacharma, successfully organised a four-day training-cum-workshop for Pre-School Teachers (PT-PSTs) and Pre-Primary Teachers on the National Curriculum Framework for Foundational Stage (NCF-FS) 2022. The event, aimed at enhancing teaching methods in line with the NCF-FS guidelines, was conducted across three educational zones – Rangat, Mayabunder, and Diglipur – from December 10 to 13.
The Rangat Zone session was inaugurated by Mr. Dheeraj Kumar, District Education Officer (DEO), Rangat, who attended the opening ceremony at the conference hall of GSSS Rangat. Dr. Sushim Biswas, Principal of GSSS Rangat, also attended as the guest of honour.
In Mayabunder, the workshop was inaugurated by Mr. Prakash Hawlader, DEO, Mayabunder, in the conference hall of GSS Webi, with Ms. Jothy, Principal of GSSS Mayabunder, attending as the guest of honour.
The session in Diglipur Zone saw Ms. Sulochana, DEO of Diglipur, as the chief guest, at the conference hall of DEO Diglipur.
During the inaugural addresses, the Zonal Officers emphasised the critical role of adapting teaching methodologies at the foundational stage to ensure the holistic, fivefold development of children, as laid out in the NCF-FS 2022 guidelines.
On the final day of the workshop, participants displayed toy-based Teaching Learning Materials (TLMs) created during the sessions, which impressed all attendees. Zonal Officers distributed training modules and certificates to participants in recognition of their involvement.
The comprehensive workshop aimed to equip teachers with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively implement the NCF-FS 2022 guidelines, contributing to a better educational future for young learners in these regions.
