In a bid to streamline transportation services and bolster accessibility for both locals and tourists, the Transport Department has announced the launch of electric bus services starting May 6, 2024. This initiative falls under the department’s vision to implement Multi-Modal Transport, aiming to offer seamless connectivity across various modes of transportation in the area.
The electric buses will operate to connect key points including the Veer Savarkar International Airport, Haddo, Phoenix Bay Jetty, Bus Terminus, and other significant locations within the city. The service is anticipated to particularly benefit senior citizens, persons with disabilities, children, and other commuters seeking efficient and convenient travel options.
As per the press release by Transport Department, the schedule for the electric buses has been meticulously crafted, taking into consideration the arrival and departure timings of flights, ships, and ferries. Commuters can expect frequent departures and arrivals throughout the day, ensuring optimal accessibility to transportation facilities.

From Veer Savarkar International Airport to Haddo Jetty:
– Departures at 07:30, 09:30, 10:20, 11:00, 12:00, 15:00, 16:00
From Haddo Jetty to Veer Savarkar International Airport via Bus Terminus & Phoenix Bay Jetty:
– Departures at 08:00, 09:50, 11:30, 12:30, 12:50, 15:30
From Bus Terminus to Veer Savarkar International Airport:
– Departures at 05:15, 06:30, 08:15, 08:30, 09:10, 10:05, 10:30, 11:45, 12:45, 13:05, 14:30, 15:45
From Veer Savarkar International Airport to Bus Terminus:
– Departures at 06:15, 07:10, 08:50, 09:00, 13:55
From Veer Savarkar International Airport to Garacharma:
– Departures at 05:25, 06:45, 08:15, 12:45
From Garacharma to Veer Savarkar International Airport:

Passengers arriving at the Veer Savarkar International Airport can now seamlessly transition to various destinations within the city and avail ferries operating from Haddo Jetty and Phoenix Bay Jetty. Similarly, travellers disembarking at Haddo Jetty or Phoenix Bay Jetty can conveniently access bus services directly from the jetty itself. Additionally, passengers arriving at the airport now have the option to travel towards Garacharma and the Aberdeen Bazaar area, further enhancing accessibility across the island region.
