Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Lt Governor, A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency on 16th January 2023, held a meeting with Tribal Captains & Representatives, Public & HoDs at APWD Guest House at Kamorta.
Representatives of the Tribal Council of Kamorta, Tribal Council of Katchal & Tribal Council of Chowra presented the issues of their respective Islands before the Tribal Council.
Mr. Aslam Majid, First Captain, Tribal Council of Kamorta highlighted the issues related to water, road, electricity, public transportation etc. before the Lt. Governor.
During the meeting, Hon’ble Lt Governor directed the officials of various Departments to ensure early examination & resolution of the issues raised.
On completion of his four-day visit to Little Andaman and Kamorta, Hon’ble Lt Governor returned back to Port Blair on 16th January.
