TSG Bhasker Participates in World Antimicrobial Awareness Week Programme at G.B Pant Hospital

In observance of World Antimicrobial Awareness Week 2024, the Department of Microbiology at ANIIMS held a week-long series of competitions from November 18th to 24th, aimed at raising awareness about Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and promoting best practices to combat its spread.

The programme, which took place at G.B Pant Hospital, featured various contests designed to engage and educate participants on the critical issue of AMR. Mr. TSG Bhasker, who attended the Prize Distribution Ceremony as a Special Guest, was instrumental in supporting the initiative.

During the ceremony, Mr. Bhasker delivered an insightful speech on the importance of judicious antibiotic use and the potential consequences of antimicrobial resistance. His address proved to be both informative and eye-opening for the students in attendance, shedding light on the urgency of addressing AMR in healthcare practices.

In recognition of his active involvement in organizing the event, the Department of Microbiology also honoured Mr. TSG Bhasker with a Certificate of Appreciation. The event successfully highlighted the pressing need for awareness and action against AMR, with students and participants gaining valuable knowledge on the subject.
