In a concerted effort to realise the vision of a “TB Mukt Andaman,” Mr. TSG Bhasker, Chairman of the TSG Charitable Foundation, took the lead in distributing nutritional kits to seven tuberculosis patients from underprivileged backgrounds. The distribution took place at the Urban Health Centre (UHC) in Shadipur, which is being supported under the Prime Minister’s TB-free India campaign.
The event, spearheaded by Mr. Bhasker, aimed to underscore the crucial role of a balanced diet in fortifying the immune system and expediting the recovery process for tuberculosis patients.
The nutritional kits provided are expected to play a pivotal role in sustaining the health of the recipients, thus facilitating their journey to recovery from tuberculosis.
The handing over ceremony witnessed the presence of notable figures including Mr. Sanjeev Reddy, Councillor of Ward no. 11; Mr.. Y. Joga Rao, Councillor of Ward no. 14; and Mr. Mohd. Zubair, along with several dedicated social workers including Mr. Saji Varghese, Mr. Sebastian Tirkey, Mr. M.A Sajid, Mr. Sadab Riaz (Sunny), Mr. Abdul Shabir, and Mr. Eswar Rao.
This initiative not only highlights the importance of community support in combating tuberculosis but also reflects a collective commitment towards ensuring the well-being of vulnerable populations in Andaman.
