In a move aimed at strengthening essential public infrastructure in remote areas, the TSG Charitable Foundation, led by its Chairman Mr. TSG Bhasker, has donated Cold Mortuary Boxes to the Panchayats of Kadamtala, Nimbutala, and Mayabunder.
The donation was formally handed over during a ceremony attended by local leaders, PRI members, and residents. The provision of cold mortuary boxes is expected to greatly assist these rural communities in preserving deceased bodies with dignity and hygiene, particularly in areas with limited access to such facilities.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. TSG Bhasker emphasized the Foundation’s commitment to community welfare across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. “This initiative is a small step toward ensuring dignity in death and easing the burden on grieving families. We believe in identifying grassroots needs and responding with compassion and action,” he said.
Panchayat representatives expressed heartfelt gratitude for the timely support, noting the significant impact the donation would have in addressing a critical gap in local infrastructure.
The initiative forms part of the TSG Charitable Foundation’s ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare and social welfare services in underserved regions of the islands.
