Bharatiya Janata Party is leaving no stone unturned to ensure victory in the upcoming elections for Adhyaksh and Up-Adhyaksh of Zilla Parishad, North and Middle Andaman.
The only two independent Zilla Parishad Members of North and Middle Andaman District, Mr. Subrata Basu and Mr. Keshab Kabiraj have now officially joined Bharatiya Janata Party.
A Press Release by BJP said that the members have joined Bharatiya Janata Party under the leadership of Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, BJP. Mr. Bairagi welcome them in the party and gave them membership of the party.
One Congress Zilla Parishad Member from North and Middle Andaman District, Mrs. Basanti has also officially joined BJP.
Zilla Parishad, North and Middle Andaman originally had 09 Congress, 02 Independent and 06 BJP Members. At present the Adhyaksha and Up-Adhyaksh of Zilla Parishad North and Middle Andaman are both Congress Members.
The joining of the Independent Zilla Parishad Members and one Congress ZP Member in BJP has now tilted the equation in favour of BJP. BJP now has 09 ZP Members in the 17 Seat Zilla Parishad, North and Middle Andaman.
