Mr. Manohar Lal, Hon’ble Union Minister of Power and Housing & Urban Affairs, Government of India, currently on a visit to the A & N Islands, met Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Lt. Governor of A & N Islands and Vice-Chairman of the Islands Development Agency, on 25th October 2024 at Raj Niwas.
The Hon’ble Lt. Governor apprised the Hon’ble Union Minister of various mega projects by the Andaman & Nicobar Administration in the Power and Urban Development sectors, as well as Tourism, Hospitality, and Infrastructure initiatives being undertaken through the Islands Development Agency.
The Hon’ble Union Minister subsequently conducted an extensive review meeting with Mr. Keshav Chandra, IAS, Chief Secretary, A & N Administration, Mr. Hargobinder Singh Dhaliwal, IPS, DGP of A & N Islands, Mr. Sanjay Kumar Sinha, PCCF of A & N Islands, and other senior officers of the Andaman & Nicobar Administration, A & N Police, Forest Department, along with representatives of the National Thermal Power Corporation Limited and Power Grid Corporation of India Limited.
