Urja Pay Application & Billing System Services Disrupted; Electricity Bill Payment Deadline Extended

Electricity consumers in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands are facing difficulties as the Urja Pay application and billing system have gone offline due to compatibility issues following their migration to new servers.

According to officials, the A&N State Data Centre is currently carrying out restoration work. The process is expected to take some time, during which both applications will remain unavailable.

To ease the inconvenience caused to consumers, the due date for payment of electricity bills for July 2025 will be extended, ensuring that no surcharge is levied during the downtime.

The A&N State Data Centre has sought the downtime and efforts are underway to resolve the issue. Authorities have expressed regret for the inconvenience caused. (Story Based on PR)
