The Department of Agriculture, in collaboration with the Registrar of Co-operatives, A&N Administration, will organize a Union Territory–level orientation programme for fertiliser, pesticide, and seed dealers, Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), and other interested individuals. The programme is scheduled to be held on October 6 at the Conference Hall of AD (Agri), South Andaman, and AD (Agri), Mayabunder, North & Middle Andaman.

The initiative aims to strengthen the agricultural input system by raising awareness about key regulatory frameworks and introducing participants to the PM Kisan Samridhi Kendras (PM-KSK). The programme will also provide a platform for farmers and dealers to clarify their doubts through an open Question & Answer session.

Key highlights of the orientation include:

  • Understanding the Seed Act, Pesticides Act, and Fertiliser Act, including regulatory and procedural requirements.
  • A special session on PM-KSK and the role of PACS in improving accessibility and services.
  • An interactive Q&A session with experts.
  • Opportunities for networking and knowledge-sharing among farmers, PACS representatives, and licensed dealers.

All PACS members and interested dealers have been invited to attend the programme.
