V D Leju Demands Immediate Release of Fishermen Group Insurance Amount and Other Compensation to Family of Deceased Fishermen C H Appa Rao

Mrs. V D Leju, a prominent social worker from Hope Town, Bambooflat has written a letter to the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands demanding immediate release of Fishermen Group Insurance Amount and other compensation to family of deceased fishermen Mr. C H Appa Rao.

Mr. C H Appa Rao, a fisherman by profession, passed away after he reportedly fell into the water from his boat at North Bay while he was fishing in the area.

Mrs. V D Leju in her letter has informed the authorities that the deceased fishermen has left behind his wife and two small kids aged 08 years and 04 years. She also informed the authorities that the mother and sister of the deceased were also completely dependent on him and he was the sole bread earner in the family.

She also mentioned that the education of the children of the deceased, the marriage of his sister and other daily expenses are matters of grave concern for the family.

The copy of the letter was also forwarded to the Chief Secretary and other relevant authorities.
