The District Child Protection Unit marked Veer Bal Diwas 2023 with fervour and enthusiasm, hosting a series of events to honour the spirit of courage. Led by Ms. Jothi Kumari, IAS Deputy Commissioner of Nicobar District, the commemoration commenced with a spirited rally from the Tsunami Memorial to the Tribal Council Office in Big Lapathy.

As part of the commemoration, the JNV in Arong, Car Nicobar, organised a live telecast of the Honourable Prime Minister’s address to the nation on Veer Bal Diwas-2023 at Bharat Mandapam. The event aimed to instill the values of bravery and courage among the youth, emphasizing the importance of this day.
To deepen the understanding of Veer Bal Diwas, a poignant movie highlighting the valour of young heroes was screened for the students. The film served as an inspirational portrayal of bravery and resilience, resonating strongly with the essence of the commemoration.
Throughout the week, various competitions such as drawing, essay writing, quizzes, and singing were held in schools across the district. These competitions were conducted under the overarching theme of bravery, encouraging students to showcase their talents and understanding of courage. The participants exhibited remarkable enthusiasm, displaying their creative and intellectual prowess.
The culmination of these events saw the distribution of prizes to the winners of the competitions, acknowledging their exceptional contributions and efforts in encapsulating the essence of Veer Bal Diwas.
