The Veterinary Hospital, Junglighat, organized an Animal Birth Control (ABC) programme on September 1 and 4 as part of its ongoing initiative to regulate the stray dog population and address public health concerns.

During the two-day drive, eight male dogs were castrated and six female dogs were spayed under the supervision of the Veterinary Incharge and his team.

The programme aims at the humane management of stray dogs, minimizing the risk of zoonotic diseases, and fostering safer coexistence between community animals and residents.

The Veterinary Hospital has assured that similar programmes will be conducted regularly in the coming days and has appealed to citizens for their cooperation in this public welfare initiative.
