Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament Registration Deadline Extended to March 16

The deadline for registration and submission of one-minute video entries for the Viksit Bharat – Youth Parliament 2025 has been extended to March 16, 2025. The announcement was made by Dr. P.V.N. Sarma, Chairman and Principal of Andaman Law College, who urged students to actively participate and voice their opinions on the vision of a developed India.

Dr. Sarma expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response from students and encouraged them to spread awareness about the initiative. The extension aims to facilitate smoother participation and hassle-free video uploads, according to Mr. Sukhranjan Biswas, Deputy Director of Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK).

A team comprising NYK functionaries and Programme Officers from JNRM, ANCOL, DBRAIT, Government ITI Dollygunj, TGCE, and ALC reviewed the ongoing efforts to boost participation. To accelerate outreach, a five-member student team from each participating college was trained by Mr. Harish Kumar, State Coordinator. Additionally, Mr. Santosh Kumar conducted a session on effective student engagement strategies.

Various promotional activities such as banners, skits, street plays, and social media campaigns have been launched across colleges to encourage wider participation. Speakers at the event emphasized the importance of student involvement in shaping India’s future, aligning with the ideals of Viksit Bharat, which include youth empowerment, a corruption-free India, environmental sustainability, self-reliance, digital transformation, and poverty eradication.

Students are encouraged to take up the initiative with patriotic zeal, keeping in mind Andaman’s significant legacy in India’s freedom struggle.

The Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament is a platform for young voices to engage in national discussions and shape the vision for Viksit Bharat@2047. It fosters leadership, civic participation, and policy discussions, enabling students to deliberate on key national issues.

Inspired by Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi’s vision, this edition is fully offline and implemented through MY Bharat to maximize youth participation.

Eligibility: 18-25 years (as of 24th Feb 2025).

Registration: 27th Feb – 16th March 2025 on MY Bharat portal. Max 150 participants per district round. If unable to register online, contact the District Youth Officer (DYO).
