The Inter School Chess Tournament for U-17 Boys of Sri Vijaya Puram Educational Zone was held on September 11, 2025, at Teachers’ Home, VIP Road. The event was organized under the aegis of the Deputy Education Officer (DEO), South Andaman.
After five rounds of keenly contested matches, Virat J. S. of VKV Lambaline clinched the top spot, securing a flawless score of five points out of five rounds. Shrihaan Karmakar of GSSS Bathubasti finished as the runner-up.
The prize distribution ceremony is scheduled to take place on September 12 at the Multipurpose Hall, Netaji Stadium, Sri Vijaya Puram. (Story Based on PR)
