A virtual meeting was held today between Mr. Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Hon’ble Minister of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India and Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The meeting was held to discuss measures for the rapid growth of the Civil Aviation Sector in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Mr. Scindia informed through his tweets that the approval for reduction of 1% in VAT charged by the UT on Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) will soon be accorded by the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Mr. Scindia also added that the construction work of the New Integrated Terminal of Veer Savarkar International Airport will be completed by Mid-2022. He further informed that efforts are going on to introduce new seaplane and increase the helicopter services in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Mr. Scindia concluded by assuring that everyone is determined for the development of tourism in the incredibly beautiful Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Mr. Scindia also held similar Virtual Meetings today with the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and the Lt. Governor of Ladakh.
