In a significant move to address the dilapidated condition of the Primary Health Center (PHC) in Mile Tilak, Mr. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Former State President BJP, has written a letter to the Chief Secretary of the Andaman and Nicobar (A & N) Administration. The letter highlights the urgent need to relocate the PHC’s equipment, materials, and entire setup to the Government Primary School in light of safety concerns.
Mr. Jolly expressed deep concern over the deteriorating state of the existing PHC building, emphasising the imminent risk of its collapse. The dangerous condition poses a threat not only to medical officials and staff but also to patients accessing healthcare services within the premises.
Recognising the urgency of the situation, Mr. Jolly called for the construction of a new PHC building. However, he stressed the need for immediate action to ensure uninterrupted healthcare provision in the region. He suggested temporarily relocating the existing PHC setup to the vacant Government Primary School in Mile Tilak, emphasising that the school currently accommodates only a small number of students.
Highlighting the availability of sufficient space within the Government School premises, Mr. Jolly requested the Chief Secretary to facilitate the temporary shift, prioritising the welfare and safety of the residents in the region. The move aims to prevent any stagnation of essential healthcare services while awaiting the construction of a new and secure PHC building.
