COVID-19 pandemic has created a havoc in the lives of the Islanders financially. There are many families who have lost their livelihood. While during the peak of pandemic there were several organisations who had come forward to help the needy, today there are only a few who are still ready to help.
Vistara Airlines with Port Blair Guru Ki Rasoi has recently distributed ration kits to 30 needy families in a simple function held at at the office of Port Blair Guru Ki Rasoi. Vistara Airlines has been helping people across the country ever since the start of the pandemic.
Guru Ki Rasoi has also been instrumental in helping the needy in capital city of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
During the function for distribution of Ration Kits Suneel Anchipaka, Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, Hari Kallikat, Sub Divisional Magistrate, South Andaman were also present along with the staffs of the Vistara Airlines and Mandeep Garewal, President, Port Blair Guru Ki Rasoi.
The special ration kits were prepared by Vistara Airlines and contained Rice 2 Kgs, Atta 3 Kgs, Cooking Oil 1 litre, Toothpaste 1, Spices 3 Packets, Salt 2 Kgs, Soap 4 pieces, Sanitary Napkins 1 Packet, Face Masks 5 Nos.
Mandeep Garewal thanked the Deputy Commissioner and Sub Divisional Magistrate for gracing the occasion and expressed his gratitude to Vistara Airlines for coming forward to help the needy.
