Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan is conducting a digital-based and largest science talent search examination to popularize science among school students studying in classes VI to XI. It is an initiative of Vigyan Bharti in collaboration with the National Council of Science Museums, Kolkata (NCSM), and NCERT, under the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
As part of the event, Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan, in association with the Science Centre, organized a Felicitation-cum-Brochure Release programme on 24th August 2024 in the auditorium of Govt. Girls Sr. Sec. School, Port Blair. Mr. Vishwendra, Secretary (IP&T & Transport), graced the function as the chief guest.
During the function, students who participated in the National Level Camp during 2023-24, held at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Bhopal, were felicitated, and the VVM 2024-25 brochure was also released.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest appreciated the efforts of VVM and motivated the students to develop a scientific temperament. Dr. Mayuri Dutt, National Coordinator of VVM, also graced the function, highlighted the activities of VVM conducted across the country, and encouraged students from the Islands to participate actively. Earlier, in her welcome address, Ms. Rajeshwari Pandey, State Coordinator, gave a brief overview of the VVM activities being conducted in the A & N Islands. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. M.S. Heaven, a member of VVM, Port Blair.
