A weather advisory has been issued for Andaman and Nicobar Islands. According to the latest forecast, strong surface winds ranging from 25 to 35 kilometres per hour (Kmph) are expected to prevail at one or two places over the A&N Islands. Additionally, heavy rainfall, with expected accumulations between 7 and 11 centimetres (cm), is likely to occur at one or two places over the Nicobar Islands on May 31st.
On June 2nd, similar heavy rainfall patterns are anticipated over the A&N Islands. The following day, June 3rd, residents can expect strong surface winds with speeds ranging from 25 to 35 Kmph over the A&N Islands.
Fishermen along the coast of Andaman & Nicobar have been issued a special advisory, with warnings of strong surface winds reaching speeds of 40 to 50 Kmph, gusting up to 60 Kmph, expected along and off the coast. The sea condition is likely to be rough to very rough during this period. As a precautionary measure, fishermen are strongly advised against venturing into the sea from June 1st until the morning of June 3rd.
