The Authorities have issued a weather alert for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, forecasting heavy rainfall and thunderstorms over on 10-11 September.
On September 10, heavy rain measuring 7-11 cm is very likely at one or two places over Andaman Island. In addition, thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds of 40-50 kmph are also expected at isolated locations across the islands.
The wet and stormy conditions are expected to continue on September 11, with heavy rain of 7-11 cm and thunderstorms with gusty winds of 30-40 kmph likely at one or two places over the islands.
Residents and visitors should exercise caution during this period and stay updated with the latest weather advisories.
