Ms. Debasree Chaudhuri, Hon’ble Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Govt. of India visited Andaman and Nicobar Islands on a two day visit from 27th of December 2020 to 29th of December 2020.
On arrival at Port Blair the Hon’ble Minister was received by Shri. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands along with Shri. Arunagiri, State Vice President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Shri. M. Vinod, State Vice President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Shri. Eswar Rao, State Vice President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Shri. N.K Udhaya Kumar, State President, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The Hon’ble Minister was warmly welcomed at the airport by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Bharatiya Janata Mahila Morcha, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
The Hon’ble Minister attended Kisan Sammelan at Chouldari after arrival. On arrival at the Kisan Sammelan at Chouldari the South Andaman District Committee of Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands welcomed her. The welcome speech on the occasion was delivered by Smti. Saraswati Narayan, District President, South Andaman District, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Smti. Sunita Sharma also addressed the gathering on the occasion. Shri. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands delivered the Presidential Address. The Hon’ble Minister also addressed the gathering on the occasion. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Shri. K. Ram Das, State General Secretary, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
During the evening the Hon’ble Minister visited the Cellular Jail, Flag Point and Carbyns Cove Beach and witnessed the Light and Sound Show later at the Cellular Jail.
The Hon’ble Minister of State for Women and Child Development visited Diglipur in North and Middle Andaman on 28th of December 2020. She was warmly welcomed by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha Karyakartas of Diglipur and a bike rally was organised from the Helipad to the Vivekananda Stadium, Diglipur where another Kisan Sammelan was organised.
At the start of the programme the local leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party, Diglipur addressed the gathering. Shri. Jyothirmay Bawali, State General Secretary, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands gave the welcome address on the occasion. Shri. Sanjay Kumar Singh, State Vice President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands also addressed the gathering on the occasion. Shri. Uday Shankar Singh, State Media Convener, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands also spoke to the gathering on the occasion. Shri. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands then delivered his Presidential Address after which Shri. Vishal Jolly, Former State President, Baharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Island addressed the gathering. The Hon’ble Minister of State for Women and Child Development then addressed the gathering present at Vivekananda Stadium, Diglipur, North and Middle Andaman District. The vote of thanks on the occasion was delivered by Shri. Asit Baroi, District President, Diglipur District, Bharatiya Janata Party.
The karyakartas of Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands met the Hon’ble Minister during the evening at the Guest House and discussed various issues related to Andaman and Nicobar Islands with her. The Hon’ble Minister along with other leaders had dinner at the house of Shri. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
On 29th of December 2020 the Hon’ble Minister returned to Port Blair and left for New Delhi.
