Women SHG Leaders Felicitated in Diglipur on the Eve of International Women’s Day

In celebration of International Women’s Day 2025 and to honour the remarkable contributions of women in Self-Help Group (SHG) activities under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM), the Devi Shakti Block Level Federation, Diglipur, in collaboration with C.D Block Diglipur, organised a felicitation program on Friday (7th March 2025) at GPOA Hall, Administrative Building, Diglipur.

The event commenced with an inspiring address by Mr. M. Rajendra Kumar, Block Development Officer (BDO) Diglipur, who urged women to take the lead in their communities and serve as role models through hard work and dedication. Dr. Bhojane, Senior Veterinary Officer, and Ms. Indira Devi, Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Diglipur, also highlighted the pivotal role of SHGs in women’s empowerment and national progress.

A series of engaging activities were conducted by Community Resource Persons (CRPs) and SHG members, including an informative demonstration on hand washing and hygiene by CRPs (FNHW-Gender). The event also recognized and rewarded excellence, with the Best SHGs, Best SHG Members, and outstanding CRPs receiving trophies, certificates, and prizes for their commendable efforts at the grassroots level. Additionally, participants in various activities held during the program were also honoured for their performances.

The felicitation ceremony underscored the vital role of SHGs in fostering self-reliance and economic empowerment among women, reinforcing the commitment to inclusive development in the region.
