Yoga Session Held at Perka in Car Nicobar to Promote Drug-Free Lifestyle Among Youth

In a bid to promote a healthy and drug-free lifestyle among the youth, a special yoga session was organized at Perka Community Hall, Car Nicobar under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA).

The 1st Captain of Perka Village, Mr. Paul David, graced the occasion as the chief guest. In his address, he encouraged the youth to remain steadfast in their commitment to a life free from substance abuse. Emphasizing the importance of physical and mental wellness, he urged young individuals to embrace healthier habits.

Ms. Sunita Kumari, Child Development Project Officer (Tribal Project), Car Nicobar, also addressed the gathering. She underlined the value of positive community involvement in shaping a better future for the younger generation.

The yoga session was conducted by Ms. Siromani Kumari, a qualified Yoga Instructor from BJR Hospital. The session focused on improving physical health and mental clarity, drawing enthusiastic participation from the local youth.

The event marked a meaningful step towards spreading awareness about the dangers of substance abuse and promoting holistic well-being among the community’s younger members.
