Prasad, Nandu and Nitin, young residents of Atlanta Point with the help of their friends have started feeding street animals in and around Port Blair area. The restrictions imposed during the pandemic has also disturbed the lives of the street animals. The street animals are not getting enough food for survival.
Sensing the problem, these animal lovers created a WhatsApp Group named Nimmi Foundation Care and started providing food to the street animals in and around Port Blair. The noble cause is being supported by their friend circle. Many of their friends have contributed small amounts for the cause.
These youngsters wants to create awareness in the society on the need for providing food to the street animals during this difficult time of COVID-19 pandemic, when most of the businesses are shut and the movement of citizens are restricted. They are hoping that more and more people join the noble cause of providing food to the street animals so that they too can survive this difficult time.Â
