PS Central Crime Station on 12th July 2022 arrested a 25-year-old youth, a resident of Dollygunj (Near Mini Stadium) with 275 Grams of Ganja. The ganja was clandestinely concealed inside a pair of footwear received as a parcel from West Bengal. PS CCS was acting on specific information received from a reliable source.
The accused was intercepted soon after he received the parcel from a courier service located at Gurudwara Lane.
A case under relevant sections of NDPS Act-1985 has been registered at PS CCS and an investigation is on to unearth the entire nexus of drug transhipment using postal services/other means.
Investigations are on to track the money trail and other suppliers and receivers of various contrabands in these Islands.
