The Zilla Parishad, South Andaman, has extended the deadline for submission of applications aimed at supporting licensed fishers, local unemployed youths, and Fisheries Cooperative Societies.
The programme facilitates the purchase of motorized and mechanized fishing boats under the UT Plan.
Initially, the last date for submission of applications was June 23, 2025. However, the deadline has now been extended to July 15, 2025, providing more time for interested candidates to apply.
Eligible individuals—including bonafide fishermen, unemployed youth, and local entrepreneurs—can collect the prescribed application forms and detailed terms and conditions from the Fisheries Sub-Stations at Campbell Bay, Hutbay, and from the offices of the Panchayat Samiti at Prothrapur and Ferrargunj.
In addition, the detailed guidelines and relevant documents are available on the official website of the Andaman and Nicobar Administration at www.andaman.gov.in.
Applicants are required to submit their duly filled forms to the nearest Panchayat Office, the Office of the Chief Executive Officer, or the respective Fisheries Sub-Stations by July 15, 2025.
