An awareness programme on Elder Helpline 14567 was organized for Anganwadi Workers under the aegis of the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), Ferrargunj. The initiative aimed to educate workers about the helpline’s role in supporting senior citizens while also highlighting key aspects of child nutrition and welfare.
Ms. Sushma Pandey, Project Manager, underscored the importance of community involvement and the crucial role Anganwadi Workers play in delivering essential services at the grassroots level. She also elaborated on Elder Helpline 14567, which provides assistance to elderly citizens in need.
Mukya Sevikas, Ms. Pratima Rai and Ms. Jaitun Bibi, led discussions on vital topics such as early childhood education, child nutrition, and the role of Anganwadi Workers in achieving national development goals. The sessions also covered the objectives of Poshan Abhiyan, emphasizing the need for improved food choices and sustained awareness efforts to combat malnutrition.
The event saw the participation of around 60 Anganwadi Workers. Officials announced that similar awareness programmes on Elder Helpline 14567 will be regularly conducted across different areas to ensure wider outreach and impact. (Story Based on a PR)
