In a bid to bolster infrastructure and accelerate the implementation of developmental initiatives, the Deputy Commissioner (DC), South Andaman, conducted an extensive field visit to Ferrargunj Tehsil on 11th July 2025.
As part of the visit, the Deputy Commissioner chaired the Vidyalaya Management Committee (VMC) meeting for the Academic Session 2025–26 at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Chouldari. The meeting centered around academic planning, infrastructure development, and student welfare measures, with a focus on enhancing the overall educational environment for the upcoming session.
Following the VMC meeting, the DC inspected the proposed site for the upcoming ANIIDCO Petrol Outlet at Tushnabad village. The project, once completed, is expected to greatly improve fuel accessibility for residents and businesses in the region, while also contributing to improved connectivity and local economic development.
Recognizing the strategic importance of the petrol outlet, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the ANIIDCO team to fast-track all essential surveys, technical evaluations, and related documentation. The DC also emphasized the need to complete all preliminary formalities within the stipulated timeframe to avoid delays in project execution.
