In a gesture of compassion and community support, Port Blair Guru Ki Rasoi (PBGKR), a prominent social welfare organization, has donated a 50-inch Smart LED Television to the Divyang Home at Abbhudaya Complex, Ferrargunj.
The television was formally handed over today in the presence of local officials, staff of the home, and members of PBGKR. The initiative aims to offer the residents—many of whom live with physical and intellectual disabilities—a source of entertainment, learning, and digital connectivity.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mandeep Grewal, Founder and President of PBGKR, said, “We believe in building bridges of compassion and care. The Divyang community deserves equal opportunities to engage with the world, and we hope this small contribution brings moments of joy and engagement into their daily lives.”
Staff members of the home expressed gratitude for the thoughtful gesture, noting that such acts of kindness foster an inclusive and supportive environment for the residents.
The donation is part of Guru Ki Rasoi’s continued commitment to social welfare, which includes food drives, health support, and community outreach programs across the islands.
