PS Aberdeen Staff apprehended a man identified as Ravi in connection with a violent attack on the caretaker of JJ Nivas and JJ Apartment, Junglighat, which occurred on October 27, 2023. The arrest was carried out by the PS Aberdeen on October 29, 2023, with Ravi now facing charges under Sections 308 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.
According to the FIR, the shocking incident unfolded during the afternoon hours on October 27 when the caretaker of JJ Nivas and JJ Apartment was seated near the parking area, engaged in a conversation with another individual. It was at this moment that Mr. Ravi confronted the caretaker, initiating a verbal altercation.
The situation escalated as Mr. Ravi brandished a knife, prompting the caretaker to raise objections. In a distressing turn of events, Mr. Ravi physically assaulted the caretaker, all the while holding the knife in his hand.
A scuffle ensued, leading to both Mr. Ravi and the caretaker falling to the ground. In the midst of this altercation, Mr. Ravi mercilessly attacked the caretaker with the knife, causing injuries to the caretaker’s head. The caretaker, displaying remarkable presence of mind, managed to break free and promptly contacted his employer for assistance.
In response to the distress call, a Police Control Room (PCR) Vehicle was dispatched to the scene. They swiftly transported the injured caretaker to G.B Pant Hospital for immediate medical attention. The severity of the injuries necessitated the medical staff to administer stitches to the injured victim’s head.
On October 30, 2023, Mr. Ravi was placed under one day of police custody by the Court. On October 31, 2023 he was transferred to judicial custody. His next court appearance is scheduled for November 7, 2023.
