In a crucial meeting held at the Transport Bhawan, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Mr. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member of the BJP, convened with key officials to address the pressing concerns surrounding the deteriorating condition of National Highway-4 (NH-4) affecting the residents of North & Middle Andaman District.
During the meeting, Mr. T. K. Baidya, Director of NHIDCL, Mr. Ashish Gupta, DGM of NHIDCL, and Mr. Amul, the responsible officer from the Ministry were present. Mr. Jolly emphasised the dire situation faced by the local populace due to the appalling state of NH-4. Presenting comprehensive data and insights, Mr. Jolly effectively conveyed the grievances and demands of the residents, shedding light on the ground realities.
During the session, Mr. Jolly passionately appealed to the authorities for immediate repairs and maintenance work on NH-4, emphasising the urgency to render the road passable for vehicles. He meticulously outlined the specific areas requiring attention, urging swift action to alleviate the hardships faced by the community.
The authorities, in response to Mr. Jolly’s impassioned plea, acknowledged the gravity of the situation. They assured a prompt response, pledging to prioritise the necessary repairs and maintenance along NH-4. The commitment was made to address the issues raised by Mr. Jolly at the earliest, indicating a dedicated effort to enhance the road’s usability.
